"Icy Bleakness of Things" is the first Serbian Dark Ambient compilation. It is released by COLD TRINITY in extremely low number of copies, all of which are distributed through impossible-to-get-to channels, obscure art events and places, and it is practically unavailable. The obscurity of the artists which have contributed to this collection and shadowy mysticism of their songs' lyrics is over-designed to the point of total enigma; even the mere existence of this compilation is often in danger of being put under suspicion by persons of emphatical curiosity. Perhaps the only obvious thing is that "Icy Bleakness of Things" is a catalogue of the Abyss. More precisely, it consists of nine musical works coloured in vivid auras of desolation, unnatural coldness, emptiness of micro and macro universe, endless gaps between molecular grains of soul. And in its peculiar way, it seems entirely logical that in these 75 minutes of the finest fermented Nihil, there really is no room for answers, let alone the questions, asked or unasked. This short web page is not an exception from COLD TRINITY's concept. It is meant just to confirm the possibility of existence of such Dark Ambient assemblage, not to give answers about it, or its creator.
