| The Special Orthopedic Surgery Hospital
"BANJICA" was established in 1957. In the year 1961 it receved for
treatment the first patient and started with treatment of young, who became ill
of osseo-articular and children's tuberculoses.
Carried by the power of enthusiasts - pioneers for at that time a young
medicine branch - orthopedy, the Hospital "BANJICA" has day by day
been mastering new knowledge, rising from a children's hospital of a
conservative type into a wordly acknowledged and famous ortopedic surgery
institution, the biggest of this kind in this part of Europe, with a capacity of
600 beds and the same number of employed. |
