| Today in the Institute "BANJICA" care and treatment of
the osseo-articular system of all pathologies and ages are being carried out. In
aloaltroplasic of ankles, in surgery of child hips, of spinal cort, of bone
tumors as well as intreatment of sport injuries, by applying the special
llizarov-method the Institute has awordly acknowledged experience. According to
modern methodology and conditions, in accordance with the valid expert
standards, it is a referent institution on the level of whole country.
In nine operating rooms wich satisfy all the modern demands, over 30
surgeries are carried out. With modern equipment for physical therapy the
Hospital enables complementary medical treatment to patients.The Institute
"BANJICA" is specific and important by its Center for surgery and
treatment of spinal cor (spinal cener), unique in the teritory of Yugoslavia,
wich is open throught the year for treating injuries and ailments and
neurological anomalies of spinal corts, with ready teams for offering neccesary
surgeris (Pagget system). Besides this the Institute has two centers wich rank
it among institutions of special republik importance and significance. In the
Center for orthopedy and traumatology of adults besides regular specialized
teams of surgeons is beeing applied. There is also the Center for children's
orthopedy and traumatology where the youngest patients are beeing successfully
threated mainly with ailments of hips.
During 1994 the Center for hyperbaric medicine, in cooperation with top
experts from that field, equiped wit the most modern equipment started work at
the Hospital in wich patients are hyperbaricly treated. |
